The 2023 revised edition of Vietnam's first county-wide climbing guidebook.Ā The guidebook describes over 500 sport, deep water soloing (DWS), and Trad routes found in Vietnam. There is a great variety of climbing with routes from F4+ to F8b, on excellent limestone rock.
In the last few years, climbing in Vietnam has vastly expanded into the mainland from its origins in Ha Long Bay, turning the region into a prime climber's playground. The sport is new enough here that it still sees relatively little traffic. Rock remains largely unpolished, even on classic routes. Crags still feel wild. In addition to first-class climbing, established destinations offer endless potential for visitors with ambitions to further development.
