Red Chili Voltage LV
The Red Chili Voltage LV is aĀ down-turned, velcro closure climbing shoe for steep bouldering and sport climbing, designed with lower volume, narrower feet in mind.
Lower in volume and slightly softer than its full volumed sibling, the Voltage LV is super comfortable and accommodating of multiple foot shapes from the off. The upper will hold its shape over time thanks to the low-stretch synthetic leather used throughout,Ā and the opposing Velcro straps give excellent hold for prolonged climbing sessions. Despite sharing the same credentials and technologies as its sibling Voltage, the Voltage LV feels softer and less tensioned through the heel rand which provides a more accessible fit to the shoe and certainly allows the shoe to feel more flexible than its wider counterpart.
Built on the foundation of Red Chili's RC-TENSION midsole, which underpins the whole of the shoe's front end, the Voltage LV has plenty of power and support for edging performance whilst the split sole and softer tensioning allows the shoe to maintain flexibility for sensitive smearing.
The sock-like design prevents rubbing and pressure points and makes the Voltage LV comfortable despite its aggressive shape. Thanks to the elastic, knitted fabric tongue, the foot is better ventilated. An all-encompassing Vibram XS-Grip outsoleĀ provides as muchĀ grip as current technology will allow, whilst a large opening and big twin pull-loops make for easy on-off.
Sizing
We found the fit to be perfect for skinnier, narrower feet but with that softer fit, the Voltage LV is accomodating for a wide range of foot types too.
