The PetzlĀ Contact 9.8mmĀ single rope is a versatile mid-thickness rope, designed for climbing- both indoors and out. It strikes an excellent balance between low weight and durability, for greater versatility. Excellent grip and great handling make for easier manipulation and use of belay devices. The thickness of its sheath also contributes to its durability.
This flexible rope makes it easier to give slack with belay devices, while the EverFlex thermal treatment stabilises the core and further improves usability and consistency throughout. The Contact comes "ClimbReady" (lap coiled), meaning it's set for use straight out of the packaging. A Middle Mark helps further improve safety margins and the UltraSonic Finish bonds the core and sheath as one providing even greater durability and prevents frayed ends.
