The Petzl Arial 9.5mm fills that niche of the modern classic sport climbing rope. This superb single rope is designed for experienced climbers; providing excellent durability and, thanks to its Duratec Dry treatment, solid performance in any and all conditions.

A versatile rope for all experienced climbers, the Arial offers, through it's 9.5mm diameter, a perfect balance between weight and performance longevity.
Its Duratec finish means this rope can safely and effectively be used on rock, mixed, snow or icey environments. This dry treatment also makes the rope more resistant to water, dirt and abrasion; handling, grip and other characteristics are retained longer in cold, wet conditions. The UltraSonic finish welds the core and the sheath as one, further improving durability and avoiding frayed ends. The Arial comes "ClimbReady" (lap coiled) meaning it's set for use straight out of the packaging. A Middle Mark helps further improve safety margins, and finally, the EverFlex (thermal) treatment stabilises the core strands and improves consistency of use over the life span of the rope.
