Grivel The Horn is a support device that you attach to the base of your axe to  support the hand, protecting it from violent blows against the wall.

Also providing a safe and balanced support for the ice axe against ice, The Horn can be detached when a completely free spike is required. It can be fitted on all Grivel ice axes, even on the earlier models that have a spike with a clip hole and is a must have for "leashless" climbing.

Warning:

• The Horn has been designed only as a support for the climber's hand. 
• The Horn must never be used for belaying either the climber or partner. 
• The Horn must never be used for manoeuvres with ropes.
