Grivel G20 Plus EVO Crampons
The Grivel G20 Plus EVO crampons are top end technical mono-point crampons for ice climbing, mixed climbing and dry tooling.
Looking quite different from many models in the Grivel crampon range, the G20 Plus EVO have been designed to push the limits of what is possible in a crampon. Much of this has involved stripping back many traditional features so that the weight and bulk has been reduced as much as possible.
Starting at the front you can see that this is a mono-point crampon for the ability to use the most marginal of placements and edges. The front section has been reduced in size and lacks an anti-balling plate. The consequence of this is the longer central bar which is still rigid for a solid platform. The rear retains an antiballing plate and it all neatly wraps up with the cramp-o-matic binding.
The webbing and bindings on the G20 Plus EVO have been improved over the previous generation, now using 12mm webbing compared to 14mm. The buckle has been improved and is now easier to tighten and loosen, the extra webbing now fastens in towards the boot and wraps around the front of the ankle and can be tucked into the back. The step-in bindings have also been improved and simplified with a clip in height adjuster rather than the old dial. These step-in bindings are now lighter, stronger and easier to adjust.
The Grivel G20 Plus EVO is a very specific mono-point crampon that gives you as much help as possible on hard ice and mixed climbs.

- Full step-in bindings with front bail and heel lever-lock, for rigid boots with a heel notch. Suitable for B3 Boots.
