TheĀ addition of an aluminium swage, or keeper, holds the wires parallel but allows one wire to slide so that the nut is loaded more evenly on both sides, making the placement more secure. TheĀ double taper resists rotating or rocking, especially inĀ pin scars andĀ small flared cracks.Ā Ā
